Slightly damp from the nights rain, we packed up camp and headed back towards Arusha, except this time on our bikes, well not me. I'm still trying to recover from bike breaking. On the plus, Mom and I got to spend some quality time in the car together. As the team cycled along, we bumped into a group of camels! It was the most bizarre thing!!Ihave never seen a camel before so this was all too exciting and now especially in Tanzania. As we started taking pictures at this unusual scene, the herder came telling us we need to pay to take pictures, so we scurried away quickly. Theres a lot more Maasai in this region compared to Kenya, it seems to be more populated here.

Pippa aimed to do 40 km to give her a total of 450 km cycled on the tour so once they completed this goal, there was a lot of excitement and celebrating. She kissed her bike goodbye and handed it over to me for the next few weeks. It was a bitter-sweet moment. I wish I had had the chance to cycle with her on her last day of the tour, but theres been lots of good fun and laughs. I now got to cycle with Dad and spend some quality time on the bike with his last leg of the journey.
We stayed at Rivertree Lodge. Slighlty out our budget but we spoiled ourselves and because of Dad and Pippa's flight being at 5:30 am, we chose this place due to the close proximity to the airport. Wow, we were in luxury! The lodge was stunning, right on the river and the rain created a cosy, romantic atmosphere. Mom and Dads last night together. We had an amazing last supper enjoying our the night together. It was a bit sad saying goodbye. Its been so much fun and such special memories were made.
