This morning went a little bit differently to what we were expecting. The lady who I had previously made arrangements with never got back to me with regards to our meeting. We patiently waited for the last few days in hope that she would respond but by this morning came and we still hadnt heard from her, we moved on. Our next aim was to get to Ifunda or Mafinga. Its been so nice, we dont necessarily have a plan for the day. We wake up relaxed and in no hurry and cycle until we tired or find a decent place along the way. I am usually one to want to know what the plans are so its been refreshing to not worry about it and be excited about what the day brings. We continued on the gravel road following the GPS, only to find that there is no road turning left towards the main tar road. This meant that we had to turn around and go all the way back to Iringa on the road we just cycled yesterday. Despite this not being part of the plan, we all easily adapted and without any complaining, turned around, going the long dirt road back (we were not going to cycle this part though!!).

We got to Iringa in time for a quick lunch where we took some dodgy, bad road to find Mama Iringa, a recommended Italian Restaurant. It was so different to its location. We walked through the doors into this beautiful green lawn with cute tables and chairs under umbrellas and had a delicious pizza. We only now got back onto our bikes and because of the time we got cycling, we never made it to Ifunda, but we found an amazing campsite just off the main road, at about 5 pm, just in time for the last bit of sunlight. Its very cold now, I am in my rabbit onesie, missing Mopsy so much. I think about him everyday, but hes in safe hands with Dad at home. We bumped into two groups of South Africans here, the first time we've had to share a campsite so far! It was great hearing the familiar accents and seeing the SA number plates, we couldnt resist introducing ourselves and hearing about their previous and upcoming adventures.
