Hoedspruit to Laphalale
The Parker household was full of excitement this morning as we started packing the car and getting ready to head off. With padkos, cooldrink and music we were ready to hit the road. Our first stop was the petrol station in town where we met Shan, my best friend who gave us some wooden crosses made by Dave, one for our bikes and another we've stuck on the dashboard to keep our faith strong. We were then ready for the 5 hour road trip ahead of us.
We arrived at Molalatau Lodge and Campsite at about 3 pm where we were shown to our lovely wooden cabin. An interesting set up, we had two mugs, one bowl, two teaspoons and a knife and a fridge that clearly hadnt been used in the last few months. A lovely area, very spacious and green. We overlooked a dry riverbed, where some bushbuck peeked out to welcome us. On the right was a sable game pen with one male kudu who was not too pleased on seeing us. After settling in, we walked around the grounds, very quiet as there was only one group there who were camping in their caravan on the otherside of the camp. We watched the sunset with a cold-ISH beer listening to a neighboring farmer target shooting. With not much choice of dining, we drove into town and found a "Cappacinos" Restuarant where we had a nice meal and got a real feel for the town, an old mining and game hunting town. By 8 pm we already in bed.

Hi Guys, Looks all good and enjoying it. Will keep up tp date. Thinking of you, love Nan
